![]() I hope TBH is of use to all players- new, old, and the in-between. In this game, you start with just two horses and are able to breed horses, enter them in competitions, train them, run your own Equestrian Center, and much more. I created this site to assist players of a wonderful horse SIM game called Howrse. He’s kind of like the Howrse mascot–why it had to be a monkey on a horse game I’m not sure.Hello! I'm Cass, known on Howrse as thewarrenranch. Next you make a username and password (make sure to write your username and password down so that you don’t forget them later!) and put in the year/month/day you were born!įinally log in with your username and password, and take care of your horse under the monkey at the top of the pages instructions! The monkey is named Ow. There are limited colors for each breed, so you just pick whichever color looks good on your horse depending on what they got out. Scroll through the breeds of horses and ponies that they have up until you find one that suits you, pick the gender, and give it a name! □ Next you have to pick what color you want your horse or pony to be! Making an account of is as easy as pie! (So to speak.) When you’re on Howrse, go to the right side of the page and you’ll see where you can make an account. In this post I’ll explain how to make an account on Howrse! I’m so totally going to start breeding a lot of them! □ □ □ □Īlright, so I’ll be working from beginner information and up. The Knabstruppers are a new breed of horse that you can win by completing the Savannah set of Cards! And if you don’t ever win one….Just breed your horse with one! □ And here is what they look like–and all their awesome coats! You hold down the mouse and run it over the cards you have a few times to reveal what card it is! This is called scratching the card.īut the HUGE news is– KNABSTRUPPERS HAVE COME TO HOWRSE!!! □ □ □ Once you have a card click to go to ‘The Cards’ at the top of the page. When your horses when competitions (limited to 2 cards a day).Īnd by exchanging the cards you have more than once (time a day and costs diamonds). You can get cards from logging in the first time everyday. Each set of cards is a different theme–and when you complete a set you get a cool black market item! You collect player cards for each group of cards to earn a certain reward! There are 7 groups of puzzle cards. Not anymore, anyways.Ī new contest has come to Howrse! □ “The Cards”! ‘The Cards’ is simple. Which is another small reason why I don’t think this place will fully take flight again–is because I don’t think I’m worthy to do that. Just… Only look at the newer ones.īut annnnyways, I can promise one or two blog posts coming! I’ll try to keep this place relatively active, especially since I feel that there needs to be a good, simple-to-understand Howrse blog out there. I do still work on my blog Thegirlnamedjack, which is my personal blog that I’ve had since I was… Ten? There are some EMBARRASSING old posts on there. I try to get on everyday and keep up with things, but I’m not positive that Howrsing Around will start back up again. I might, but truth be told I just don’t invest as much time or effort into Howrse anymore. Now, I can’t promise that I will bring this blog completely back to life. And so far I AM staying active, and so is she! (She’s CottonCandyKat1, and she makes free layouts so maybe give her a glance.) I used to be splithoof, but now I’m Shining Lake. So out of nostalgia we created new accounts, so we could start afresh on there. My best friend and I were on a sleepover, staying up super late, laughing over random stuff and typical sleepover-nonsense, when we remembered Howrse. For an example of what I’m talking about:īut moooving on. And I’m generally open for art trades and whatnot. (I’m authorjack.) Don’t be afraid to message me! I love to chat, or role-play. I started to practice my art, and started posting my writing/art on dA instead of my Equestrian Center’s forums! Actually, I’m insanely active on DeviantART so if you want to pop by over there, I’d recommend it. The only thing keeping my on the ‘site was a couple of internet friends who I’d grown really close with–but when we started to e-mail I just dumped it entirely.Īlso my art got in the way. But after about three years of that… Well, I grew bored. I new every little detail about everything, had the pages memorized front to back, was the first to read the news, gave out gifts all the time, collected great horses/ponies/donkeys–you get my gist. My last post on this blog was back on May 25th, 2013.

They had also done some work on the steps down to the Indian Creek Falls viewing area but still no handrails. The incline is not as bad as the one to Juney Whank. After you cross the river, the trail starts to have an incline which is a fairly steady incline all the way to Indian Creek Falls and beyond. Across from Tom Branch Falls are benches to sit on and enjoy the falls. The walk was very easy on this well maintained trail. We returned to the parking area and entered the wide path to Tom Branch Falls. It would make going up and down to the falls much easier!!!! The stairs/steps down to the viewing area were easier to walk than the last time I was there a few years ago. There has been some work done at the falls. My other sister and I hiked the steep incline to the falls. We are all getting up in years so my older sister did not hike to Juney Whank Falls. I decided to take my sisters to the Deep Creek area of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. You can enjoy your waterfall with the tourists or you can walk in a bit further and be amazed. Later that night we were treated to a chorus of coyotes while we enjoyed a fire on a crisp October night. Perhaps we forgot, because within a hour of sitting up camp a doe and two fawns roamed out of the woods within 40’ of where we were sitting - which was in a sea of autumn colored leaves with the roar of a absolutely crystal clear river behind us with the smell of fall and clear mountain air on the breeze. Mandatory bear cables (to hang your bags) reminded you where you were. Our first campsite sat on the river around 5 miles in. We went camping - 4$ per person per night. You will also be surrounded by people - so I would recommend coming on the weekdays or, better, go a bit further. The trail itself is relatively flat and within a very short walk you can see three beautiful waterfalls. Don’t be afraid to park a bit further away and walk across the bridge that offers its own views. Parking can be a bit of a bear, pun intended, but it moves quickly. Deep Creek Trailhead starts right at the campground. ![]() They are covered with flat pebbles called shingles or rounded rocks known as cobbles. Rocky Some beach berms are not sandy at all. Other gems, such as sapphires, emeralds, and garnets, are present on many beaches throughout the world, as tiny grains of sand. Mining companies have dug mines both on the beach and offshore to excavate these precious stones. However, the beaches of Chameis Bay contain another type of rock-diamonds. The sandy beaches surrounding Chameis Bay, Namibia, are also full of quartz and seashells. Most sand, however, is made of tiny particles of weathered quartz from the Appalachian Mountains, hundreds of kilometers away. Some sand is eroded from rocks and minerals in the Gulf of Mexico. state of Florida, for instance, has white, sandy beaches. Others may be eroded rock from nearby cliffs. Some sand may be eroded bits of a rocky reef just offshore. Sandy Most beach sand comes from several different sources. The most familiar characteristic of a beach berm is its type of sand or rock. Beach berm can include vegetation, such as trees, shrubs, or grasses. The area above the water, including the intertidal zone, is known as the beach berm. Other beaches are cold and rocky, while beaches in the Arctic and Antarctic are frozen almost all year. ![]() Beaches can also be barren desert coastlines. Beaches can be warm, and rich in vegetation such as palm or mangrove trees. A beach profile describes the landscape of the beach, both above the water and below it. Beach Berms Every beach has a beach profile. These seasonal changes cause beaches to be wider and have a gentle slope in the summer, and be narrower and steeper in the winter. During the summer, waves retrieve sand from sandbars and build the beach back up again. Sandbars are narrow, exposed areas of sand and sediment just off the beach. This can sometimes erode beaches and create sandbars. During the winter, storm winds toss sand into the air. Tides and weather can alter beaches every day, bringing new materials and taking away others. Tides and currents are the main way beaches are created, changed, and even destroyed, as the currents move sediment and debris from one place to another. Tides and ocean currents can carry sediment a few meters or hundreds of kilometers away. ![]() When the tide goes out, it takes some sediment with it. This sediment may contain sand, shells, seaweed, even marine organisms like crabs or sea anemones. As the tide comes in, for example, it deposits ocean sediment. Beach materials may travel long distances, carried by wind and waves. Huge boulders can be worn town to tiny grains of sand. The continual action of waves beating against a rocky cliff, for example, may cause some rocks to come loose. Over many years, water and wind wear away at the land. Most beach materials are the products of weathering and erosion. Materials such as sand, pebbles, rocks, and seashell fragments cover beaches. A beach is a narrow, gently sloping strip of land that lies along the edge of an ocean, lake, or river. ![]() ![]() This is just me though if you don’t have any issues or old injuries they are probably fine for walking. It’s fine to wear them for a day but I noticed my feet started to feel a bit sore, specifically my heels (heel bruise veteran here). I don’t recommend them for daily wear if you need a lot of support, the soles are thin and flat which is great for skateboarding but not for long walks. They don’t look as nice anymore as in the picture but they’re holding up fine! I didn’t really have to break them in, they felt great from the start which is also a confidence booster. Lots of board feel and they offer great ventilation. ![]() The sole has an excellent grip and the shoes are lightweight. These shoes are very durable (suede) and comfortable. My opinion might change, take this with a grain of salt. Board feel is okay, their cups after all, not vulcs.Įven though they wear rather quickly you can get a decent discount when they are on sale, I paid like half of the regular price which makes it worth it. It takes some time to break them in and feel awkward at first, after a few hours the shoe gets more flexy though. They handle impacts like no other and are probably shoes you should try if you have wide feet. Just like the DVS, a very wide shoe which is super cushy but wear quickly. A bit surprising considering how bulky they feel but hey, something gotta give. Keep in mind that they wear fast, especially after 50 hours. DVS Commanche 2.0Īctually tested and approved, the DVS Commanche 2.0 are great for skaters with wider feet! Less durable than expected but overall a very confortable skate shoe that handles impacts like no other. There aren’t any dedicated skate shoe brands that make them. If you’re a 4E you have a problem and you might need to look for a different type of shoe. I’ll stick with two types of shoes (vulcanized and cupsoles) that are highly recommended by skateboarders and myself. I personally wear some of them and can recommend them to anyone. I won’t go through all of them but I might as well list a few skate shoes that could solve your problem. So What Makes a Good Skate Shoe For Wide Feet?.Tips To Stretch Narrow Fitting Skate Shoes. Most importantly, they are perfect for wider feet. Maybe not as durable, but they provide a lot of comfort and can deal with impacts. I consider these one of the best skate shoes out there for wider feet. I really like their shoes but my feet are just incompatible.Īt the end of the post, I’ll tell you why I specifically like the eS Silo, DVS Commanche 2.0 (they have their flaws). You’ll notice Nike and Adidas aren’t in there because they can be very narrow from my experience. The rest of the shoes listed is from recommendations from other skaters. I haven’t tried all of these but I know the eS Silo, DVS Commanche, and DC Kalis S skate shoes never caused stress on my feet. To save you the trouble of going through the entire post, here’s a list of great skate shoes suitable for wider feet: I would suggest to look at specific brands that make 2E+ shoes and see if you can find shoes made of suede.įor the rest of you, you have option. Unfortunately skateboarders with 2E+ have limited options, none of the skate shoe brands offer them because of the limited demand. Fortunately, you’re not the only one that has this problem and there are many great shoes out there. In order to pick the right skate shoes, you need to be aware that not all shoes fit the same.Įspecially when you have wider feet you need to make sure your skate shoe has the right cut. I had many shoes that were too tight and it makes skateboarding very uncomfortable. As a person with wider than average feet, I feel your struggle when picking proper skate shoes.
